Hilda Jones has got some interest in running a Level 1 training course in Lancashire but needs about 12 people to make it worthwhile. The cost is £130 but BCGBA is likely to help with funding. Please alert people in your club to this and if you are interested please get in touch with Hilda.

Veterans Final
Congratulations to Paul Harris who has won the 2021 Lancashire Veterans’ Merit. He beat Martin Bacon 21-9 in the final which was held at Rivington Bowling Club. The full results from the Finals Day are posted on our Competitions page.

Bowls Big Weekend
There is still time to sign your club up for the Bowls Big Weekend, which is on the bank holiday weekend at the end of May. Details can be found here https://www.bowlsengland.com/bowls-big-weekend-2021/. Once you have signed up and registered an event people can book on via the website and you get an email with a link to a portal where you can download publicity materials for either online or hard copy posters/banners etc. It is good to see that a number of Lancashire clubs have already registered.
